Crochet tool go-tos! (Copy)
Crochet became something I do every day in 2021. I learned in high school, but just did a little here and there with my grandma. After having kids of my own, I craved solo wind-down time in the evenings and crochet fit that mold perfectly. My tool kit is always changing and I love trying new things, however, these items are the tried and true favorites!
Crochet is a relaxing craft that can be self-care at times. So, why not let your crochet tool kit be full of items that make you happy! Here is a list of things in my crochet bag that I use every day!

Clover hooks- My favorite hooks by far are Clover hooks! Super lightweight which feels great on my hands, especially for amigurumi. Their amour line I love for all my plushies and use for blanket yarn projects. Their soft touch hooks, I am obsessed with for worsted weight projects. They glide so well and are the lightest hooks ever!
Scissors.- I wanted some heavy-duty crafting scissors and these are perfect! Love the gold and feels antique. They are not a necessity, but if you have been crafting for a while and want to invest in some nice tools, these are worth it.
Stitch markers- I have two different kinds, basic and pretty ones! For pretty ones, @jbbbabydesigns has something for all personalities. These are for bulky yarn, which can be hard to find! If you are just starting or want some cheaper ones to have around, click here for a cheaper option. I am one to have lots of projects going at one time, so doesn’t hurt to have a few extras around the house.
Needles- I have plastic needles and metal needles I use for different things. Here is a link for some plastic needles and metal embroidery options as well. Pretty simple craft item but an essential.
My custom journal- I had this journal printed with my logo from @elmtreecrochet. She can put a logo or custom design on a high-quality journal for a personal touch! This book has all my chicken scratch pattern drafts and random crochet information.
Yarn- The most exciting part! When I started crocheting I learned with blanket yarn (6), so it will always have my heart! Bernat blanket and Premer basix chenille are always the best color options for the price. As I have improved and learned more about crocheting I am using worsted weight (4) more and more. My favorite acrylic (4) yarns are Hobby Lobby yarn ID, Micheals Caron cinnamon cakes, and Premier Basix. I am always on the hunt for good sherpa and semi fuzzy yarns too, so stay tuned for when I find some good options there!
I am not a pro and there are many crocheters more seasoned then I am, but always here if you have questions about what ive learned to far! Happy crocheting!!
